This performance significantly exceeds that of both conventional and previously progressive step screens.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"199\" data-end=\"278\">The tests were conducted at the Hjultorp wastewater treatment plant in V\u00e5rg\u00e5rda in cooperation with plant operations staff and were validated by Envidan, one of the leading water and process engineering specialists in the Nordic region.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"199\" data-end=\"278\">\u2013 This is an exceptionally strong result. We can now demonstrate, through third-party validation, that SSD not only meets our commitments but exceeds them by a wide margin, says Andreas Riedel, Technical Manager at Hydria Water.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"199\" data-end=\"278\">By comparison, a well-known study conducted by Chalmers University of Technology in 2005 showed that the best progressive step screens achieved a separation efficiency of approximately 81% under optimized conditions. With SSD, Hydria Water now surpasses the 90% threshold, establishing a new benchmark for the industry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"199\" data-end=\"278\">The high performance is achieved through an advanced design featuring a movable bottom step, which prevents unwanted openings in the lower section of the screen and ensures maximum separation efficiency \u2013 without the need for brushes or wash water.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1771\">\u2013 Such a high separation efficiency reduces the load on downstream process stages, lowers operating costs, and results in a more robust wastewater treatment plant, says Johan Fritz, Sales Director at Hydria Water.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1773\" data-end=\"1945\">The results confirm that Step Screen Delta delivers the performance the market has long been demanding and sets a new industry standard for mechanical wastewater treatment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"2180\">\u2013 This is both clear evidence of our innovative strength and an important step toward the next generation of intelligent and autonomous treatment solutions.
