New product from Hydria Water: Step Screen Delta, an innovative step screen with minimal maintenance

The ability to detect deviations and issues before they arise, reduced supervision requirements, and fewer unnecessary trips for operators at unmanned facilities. These are some of the benefits that come with Hydria Water’s latest product: Step Screen Delta.

Hydria Water is now launching Step Screen Delta, the next generation step screen, and a significant step towards implementing future functionality already.

– When we developed Step Screen Delta, SSD, we focused on digital compatibility, ease of maintenance, long lifespan, energy efficiency, and functionality, says Andreas Riedel, CTO at Hydria Water.

The result is a machine prepared to be equipped with camera surveillance (including IR), vibration sensors, and remote monitoring. This means that with Step Screen Delta, you can detect deviations before problems arise. Additionally, supervision requirements are reduced, and the number of unnecessary trips for operators at unmanned facilities is decreased.

In addition to the new digital technology, SSD has received an updated design on the patented bottom step, increased accessibility in the machine for service and maintenance, and the possibility of self-diagnosis.

Hydria Water already has several innovative screens. With Step Screen Delta, the company takes another step towards future features.

– Step Screen Delta is also the only machine type on the market that is self-cleaning and thus does not require energy-consuming support functions such as brushes, flushing water, or similar, says Andreas Riedel.

Step Screen Delta in brief:

– Prepared for camera surveillance (including IR), vibration sensors, and remote monitoring.

– Further improved design on the patented bottom step.

– The only machine type on the market that is self-cleaning and thus does not require energy-consuming support functions such as brushes, flushing water or similar.

– The well-thought-out geometries together with a reduced amount of welding, where bolted joints replace the seams, ensure the machine’s linearity, rigidity, and stability.

– The machine is based on technology that achieves an 80% capture rate or higher when used with controlled pressure losses across the machine.

– All particles up to Ø70 mm can be transported to the next processing step without risking the breaking or weakening of the cleaning mat.

– The adaptive support legs enable easier adjustments to existing systems such as drum screens, screw conveyors, piston presses, and more.
