Many attended the factory visit at Hydria Water

60 participants from municipalities, consulting and contracting companies, as well as suppliers, gathered in mid-November at Hydria Water for a rare and highly appreciated factory visit.

– The fact that we managed to bring together so many end-users and industry colleagues at our facility is incredibly rewarding and a strong testament to our relevance in the market, notes Johan Fritz, sales manager at Hydria Water.

It is not always easy to encourage people to step away from their usual work routines and take the time to attend a factory tour. However, this was not an issue when Hydria Water invited visitors to their production facility in Viared. Sixty participants, from Piteå in the north to Perstorp in the south, came to Borås.

– The trend has been the opposite, with it being difficult to attract visitors to industry events. This is truly an incredible outcome, says Johan.

A tour of the production facilities

After a shared breakfast and an introduction to Hydria Water as a company, the group was divided into smaller teams for tours of the production facilities. These included a walkthrough of the spare parts warehouse, laser cutting, welding, and assembly areas. Participants also had the opportunity to take a closer look at the machines set up and ready for delivery.

Joint discussions about the future

Following the tour, Andreas Riedel, Technical Manager, led a discussion on product development and some of the challenges facing the industry.

– We grapple daily with issues such as extreme weather, redundancy, and population fluctuations—not to mention cybersecurity as we integrate increasingly advanced technology into our machines. I truly appreciated the chance to discuss these topics with industry colleagues and hear their perspectives, says Andreas.

Positive feedback from participants

The response from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Everything from the excellent working environment and high level of expertise to the structure and focus on sustainability was highlighted.

– The enthusiasm from our guests is something truly unique and definitely motivates us to organize similar visits in the future, says Tobias Barrstrand, CEO of Hydria Water.
